Fire Restriction Update – June 26, 2025
Effective immediately;
We’re pleased to share the following updates to the current fire restrictions:
**NEW**
What Is Now Allowed (with conditions):
- Bonfires Permitted from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM in approved fire pits only. Must include a grate or screen to prevent sparks. area around the fire pits must be green grass or gravel area. A water source or adequate fire suppression MUST be nearby. When you are finished with your bonfire, YOU MUST extinguish it with water. Do not leave a fire or a smoldering fire unattended. It has to be 100% extinguished. **If your bonfire gets out of hand, and the Fire Department has to attend, it will be investigated and if you failed to comply with the conditions, YOU WILL BE FINED (and/or the landowner) and pay the expenses of the Fire Departments callout.
- No burning of yard waste, leaves, rubbish, etc.
- Fireworks Allowed ONLY in approved areas and must be handled by LICENSED TECHNICIANS and be pre-approved by the Fire Chief via a fireworks permit. NO store-bought fireworks are allowed. If the Fire Department has to attend, YOU WILL BE FINED (and/or the landowner) and pay the expenses of the Fire Departments callout.
What Still Remains Restricted:
All other open fires remain prohibited. This includes the following but not limited to:
- BURN BARRELS
- SKY LANTERNS
- CHARCOAL or WOOD BURNING BBQ’s
- Off-road motorized travel is not allowed, any motorized vehicles off established roads and trails
